Vitality Rising Bees shipwreck Galions Pearl

Following up on that insanely close series between Nexus Reapers and Zerance Bloom, Vitality Rising Bees faced off against Galions Pearl on the second day of the Equal Esports Cup Playoffs.

Both teams fought for their survival in the tournament and a chance to proceed to the next step in qualifying for LoL Game Changes Rising.

Game 1: The hive swarms the fleet

The first game saw Vitality Rising Bees slowly gain the advantage over Galions Pearl in the early stages of the game.

After an early gank in the mid lane and a skirmish in the blue top-side jungle, Vitality Rising Bees etched out a small lead for themselves.

This was quickly equalised by Galions Pearl, who used the Nocturne/Orianna combo to make easy picks onto Vitality Rising Bees.

The French-based team were able to take back the lead by securing the Baron, after picking off an out-of-position Kamilla "Hao" Djamalov.

The game truly turned in Vitality Rising Bees favour when they punished the isolated bot lane of Galions Pearl.

With Baron and a gold lead reaching 8k, Vitality Rising Bees were in a strong position to close out the game.

They eventually did so after holding the line for AD Carry Alessandra "Nenris" Schmalfuß to shred through Galions Pearl.

Game 2: Galions Pearl unfurls their sails

In the second game of the series, Galions Pearl came back with a vengeance.

With both teams drafting team fighting comps, the game would be decided by organised chaos.

Knowing this, each side avoided fighting the other in the early game.

Leading to a late first blood in the 12th minute to Vitality Rising Bees.

Galions Pearl was still in the game, having found minor gold leads in all but one position.

The first real action came around the Rift Herald as Galions Pearl came out on top with 2 kills for themselves.

Galions Pearl controlled the map to slowly grow their gold advantage.

Eventually, securing a strong lead after winning a team fight around the Atakhan.

From this, they were able to take one tower after another, and eventually won the second game.

Game 3: Vitality Rising Bees pierce Galions Pearl’s hearts

The final game left everything to play for as it was the final chance for both teams.

Eager to gain the early advantage, both teams poured players towards the bottom side of the map in an exciting early skirmish.

Galions Pearl emerged victorious after taking down Iulia "Yushia" Boldor for first blood.

Action would continue to be centred around the bot lane, as Yushia got revenge on Charlotte "Cosmïc" Tranquillin.

The game started to turn in Vitality Rising Bees’ favour after a pick onto Iva "Ive" Matković, which allowed the team to secure their first Dragon.

The pace of the game picked up around the Atakhan as Vitality Rising Bees wiped Galions Pearl.

Keen to make something work, Galions Pearl were able to secure a few picks to stay in the game.

Ultimately, this wasn’t enough as Vitality Rising Bees used their control of the game to slowly edge Galions Pearl out of the tournament.
